Brass 3/4″ Y Strainer filter for protecting fuel pumps
Y strainers are also known as wye strainers because they are shaped like a Y and act as a filter to prevent solids, pipe scale, rust, and debris from mixing into liquid, gas, or steam in a flowline. The Y strainer is a perfect filter mechanism to protect fuel pumps, water pumps, etc from a variety of debris that may contaminate your fuel / water line. The Y strainer is manufactured with a mesh wire straining screen that is removeable for cleaning. There is a directional flow arrow to show you which way to fit the Y strainer and can be fitted vertically or horizontally to protect all types of pumps, meters, control valves, regulators and other process equipment.
This Y strainer has 2 x 3/4″ Female BSP threads, one either side of the Y strainers mesh guard.
