Product description.
It is a legal requirement that road legal trailers have breakaway cables fitted to the braking system. They are designed to put the brakes on if your trailer was to become unhitched.
This is a genuine Knott-Avonride brake away cable to suit Knott-Avonride trailer couplings. Will fit most Knott-Avonride couplings including the KRV20, KFG13, KFG20, KFG27, KFG30, KFG35.
This trailer breakaway cable is 1200mm long- with clevis fit
Once the breakaway cable is connected onto the coupling. When towing simply loop the cable around the tow ball of your tow bar and then clip it back onto itself. If the trailer was to become unhitched whilst being towed the breakaway cable will pull the brakes on.
