25,000 Litre Sludge Tank

25,000 Litre Sludge Tank is designed as a sludge holding tank from waste and effluent treatment steams. Constructed from corrosion resistant, UV stabilised, high-density food grade polyethene this sludge tank is designed for the containment of liquids up to a Specific Gravity of 1.5.

Our sludge tanks are used in applications requiring settling and dewatering of effluent streams> These can be customised to take existing equipment pipework on wastewater treatment plants. Sludge is a thick, soft mud and typically the by-product of wastewater treatment. Industrial wastewater solids and settled suspension from potable water treatment.

Other applications are sludge settlement tanks on small sewage treatment plants,. In the food and agricultural waste and anaerobic digestion industries, uses include removal of grit for water reuse, effluent treatment plants and concentration of apple mulch after cider fermentation.

Sludge Thickening & Dewatering Tanks

Sludge thickening is the reduction of the volume of wastewater by up to 80 % sludge thickening. This is where water is drained off regularly and usually takes place directly in the sludge storage tank.

Dewatering is the further reduction of the sludge amount after the thickening. This liquid still must be dewatered to a dry and porous form. This is in conjunction with bulk chemical tanks, dosing tanks, polymer mixers, cone tanks, coagulation and flocculation equipment.

All our sludge tanks are WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) approved and are available in black, boat blue or natural.

In some installations, water tanks will need to be Fluid Category 5 Compliant listed here or as insulated tanks to prevent thermal gain and loss.

The 25,000 litre tank is offered with chemical tank options including industrial mixers, liquid level sensor assemblies, and fill pipes.  Other fittings and modifications available to suit your application include inlets, outlets, PN16 and ANSI flanges, welded sockets and as well as fume proof lids, vents and lifting eyes.

These 25,000 litre water tanks are a one-piece rotationally moulded from medium density polyethene. Suitable for wastewater treatment systems and wastewater treatment processes
