Product overview

Sodium Bisulfite Storage Tanks

Sodium bisulfite storage tanks – Sodium bisulfite is a chemical mixture of salts dissolved in water to give solutions of sodium and bisulfate ions.  Sodium Bisulphite is a white, crystalline solid with a slight odour of rotten eggs. This is mainly found in a liquid solution and it’s used in making paper and leather, as a food preservative/additive and in dye and chemical production.

One of its main uses is dechlorination in municipal wastewater, pulp & paper, power, and textile water treatment plants as well as being used as a boiler water treatment as it can efficiently remove traces or excess amounts of bromine, iodine, osmate esters, chromium trioxide, and potassium permanganate.

Storage of Sodium Bisulfite

While Sodium bisulfite offers solutions in wastewater treatment it is generally required to be bunded.  Non-metallic fittings and flanges are required on these tanks.  These sodium bisulfite storage tanks are offered with chemical tank options including liquid level sensor assemblies and fill pipes, fittings and modifications to suit your application.  This includes inlets, outlets, PN16 and ANSI flanges, welded sockets and as well as fume proof lids and vents.
