Product overview

Aluminium Sulphate Tanks

Aluminium Sulphate Tanks – aluminium sulphate is a chemical compound with the formula Al(SO).  It is soluble in water and is mainly used as a coagulating agent in the purification of drinking water and wastewater treatment plants, and also in paper manufacturing.

Uses For Aluminium Sulphate

In Drinking Water Treatment this has the following benefits:

  • Promoting particle collision by neutralizing charge
  • Produces higher sludge concentrations meaning decreased sludge disposal costs
  • In dyeing and printing on cloth, when dissolved in a large amount of water with a neutral pH produces aluminium hydroxide.

While offering a versatile, cost-effective solution to drinking water treatment, it does present storage challenges.  These bunded storage tanks are offered with chemical tank options including liquid level sensor assemblies and fill pipes, fittings and modifications to suit your application.  This includes inlets, outlets, PN16 and ANSI flanges, welded sockets and as well as fume proof lids and vents.   It is often delivered at elevated temperatures, so a 1.5 SG rated tank PP is recommended.
